Disney’s Tour Book - The Passporter Dollar Deal

Published by trieschman under Uncategorized Edit This

If you are one who likes to travel to Disney you may go often enough to know your game plan of attach. But if it is your first time or if you go infrequently, you can use some pointers to get the best out of your trip and money.

We’ve found what we believe to be the best book on the market. It is called a Passporter. What the Passporter does is break down the parks and explains each amusement by different ages so you’ll know if it is too scary for your children. This way, you don’t have to wait in a long line to be disappointed by non-cooperating children. The Passporter also gives you plans of attack if you will, for different sized and ages of your party. They review the food and the accommodations. Actually, the Passporter leaves little for you to questioning.

The book comes in a binder so you can remove the pages you want to take to the park with you leaving the bulk of the book behind. The only down side to this book is that there is a lot of information and it does take a bit of reading and studying to get the most out of the book.

The Passporter is upgraded each season. This might be a downside for you since your book will become out of date, but there is a silver lining. With each new launch of the publication, older years become out of date. They keep one year in storage selling the preceding years book for one dollar! So right now, you can get the 2007 version of the book for a dollar. This is a great bargain with loads of information. If you know about the book but weren’t sure you wanted to spend the money, this is a great way to see if it is worth upgrading.

Here is the link to the dollar version of the book:

Off to Kindergarten

Published by trieschman under Uncategorized Edit This

My daughter started kindergarten this past week. She is my eldest child and the first one to attend public school. I considered home schooling but decided I couldn’t make a good decision about our public school system without seeing first had. All she cared about was riding the bus, and so she did. She loved it. Her first day she arrived at home and I tried asking her all kinds of questions about her day and all she wanted to know was how soon could she go back to school.

I have to admit I was a bit upset after our kindergarten orientation. I had certain expectations in my mind about how it would look and feel. We walked into a classroom being lead by a young man. I expected a plump middle aged woman, maybe a grandmother. You know, someone to nurture and cuddle with my daughter. Because my daughter is very touchy feely. She needs personal contact to keep her going. I don’t even want to discuss this with a male teacher. After I had a few days for it to sink in and my daughter doesn’t seem phased, I am OK with the situation.  Not that I can do much about it.

So, on we go. Every other day for a full day of class and then a half day on Friday.  She made a friend her first day who also rode her bus. The second day I asked her to find out the girls name because when I asked her what the girl’s name was, she said “she didn’t tell me!” After the second day, she still didn’t know the girl’s name but she made another friend with curly blond hair. If she is anything like me, I will never know these little girl’s names.

We head into our second week of school. Who knows what it will bring!
